Brought to me by one of my regular clients, this charming little oil painting depicting St Ives cottages needed a gentle clean and thin coat of varnish before re-framing began. The new frame was hand-finished with various colour washes to compliment the picture before waxing and finishing with dry pigments and a final polish.
This parcel gilt frame was completed for a client this week. Various colour washes, waxes and dry pigments were applied to achieve a rich but subtle finish that would sit well with the picture and the clients home decor.
